Joanne Glynn, Regional Chair Yorkshire and North Lincolnshire sent in the following report on the UKIP Action Day in Sheffield which took place on the last weekend:

The Good Old Days of UKIP return to Sheffield

The street stall held in Sheffield at the weekend really gave a boost to kippers and Yorkshire folk alike. Members from across the country teamed up in the town centre and really got to work chatting with the public on the issues that really matter to local people.

The event was a huge success with lots of new members signing up and some good conversations with the public on Brexit and local concerns about crime, housing and social care. As one member said to me ‘This is like the good old days of Ukip again.’  The feel good factor was high and there was a real sense of achievement as well as time afterwards to socialise with new friends from branches across the country.

The day was so enjoyable we are revving up the battle bus and planning a national tour.
