Results Snippet: Scheduled to be one of the last results to be declared, the Euro results bode well for it, despite the bookies preferences for the Liberal Democrats to hold it (at 9/10) from the Tories at 11/10.

There now follows three Stoke on Trent seats where the only indication that UKIP could do well were the Euro results last year, the Council elections being held every 4 years for all seats, so this year coincides with a local election too. All three could be more UKIP dark horses.

6 Comments on Election Night Special

  1. One MP, Farage out, just 12% of the vote (so substantially under the polling and under half of what the SDP achieved – and look what happened to them).

This is at the very bottom end of Ukip’s projections.

Hard to see if could have gone much worse for Ukip.

  2. Torygraph still predicting 2 seats for UKIP. Let’s hope that they are made to eat their words.

The only poll that matters is the real one.

  3. H&SS: Elvin (UKIP) 8,280, Hay (Cons) 7,105, Murray (LD) 791, Phillipson (Lab) 21,218, Robinson (Grn) 1,095. UKIP’s first second place of the night.

Lab Hold, Swing Lab to UKIP 7.0%.

WOW! This is someone’s labour (lower case ‘l’) of love. Thank you very much and if I nod off at some point watching the results on TV, this will be a really good way to catch up! I’m at the Parliamentary count in Redcar tonight and the locals tomorrow morning, so it’ll be tiring but oh so worth it if UKIP pulls it off. Best of luck to all candidates, especially Nigel.

Worth watching out also for Dagenham and Rainham, Spelthorne, Northampton South, Aylesbury, Barrow, Doncaster North, Bournemouth West and Anglesey. An. others people know about?

  6. Double Gloucester // May 7, 2015 at 7:31 am //

Thanks for putting all this together and good luck!
